CALA MISSION STATEMENT
CALA is committed to conserving the natural beauty of the Cassels and Adjoining Lakes region of Temagami and to sustaining the quality of life for this and future generations.
CALA will preserve this commitment by promoting a clean and safe environment; supporting programs that will protect and enhance our fisheries and natural resources; collaborating and communicating with officials, organizations and associations to further develop our regions splendour and to acquire information that will facilitate reliable and informative communications to it’s members; and by organizing social activities to enrich member relations and to foster growth and involvement within the association.
CALA’S GENESIS
CALA was formed in 1980 in response to poor water quality. The sewage lagoon in Temagami was operating improperly and leaking raw sewage into Snake Island Lake.
