Abnormal Water Conditions on Northeastern Ontario Waterways

Good morning,

Please be advised that a recent weather system is impacting water levels and flows throughout Northeastern Ontario. Inflows (water flowing into area river systems) are 4 to 5 times higher than normal for December in some areas.

In the short term, inflows are expected to remain above normal for this time of year. Please exercise extreme caution on area lakes and rivers. Higher flows will delay freeze up or impact ice conditions where ice is present.

Stay Clear, Stay Safe!
